On Oct 3 is the finals of The New Paper New Face 2013 and two members of the New Face alumni figure largely in this year's modelling competition, which is presented by Subaru MotorImage and co-sponsored by Levi's and New Look.
These two are having a great year - Rachel Erasmus, 23, from the 2010 batch, was a judge at this year's walk-in and top 25 auditions. She also made the cover of Maxim Indonesia's August edition.
Last year's winner Sharin Keong has gone on to front a campaign for local fashion brand Giordano.
She will be walking down the New Face runway. Since 2010, Erasmus has taken part in three other pageants. In 2011, she won Show Miss Body Beautiful at Miss Singapore India and was in the Top 5 of Miss Singapore World. Last year, she placed seventh out of 14 girls in reality TV modelling series Asia's Next Top Model.
Now, fresh from the competitions, Erasmus - an MDIS mass communications graduate - is a full-time model.
The 1.7m-tall half-Indian and half-Maldivian babe said being where she is now is her "wildest dream come true".
"I do quite a lot of runway jobs, ironically (because of my height). But mostly for Indian brands like Pure Earth."
