Nicholas Tse loves his frayed old jeans

HONG KONG - Actor Nicholas Tse apparently loves a pair of jeans he owns so much that he wore it to shreds. Last week, he posted on Facebook a video of himself in a pair of blue jeans that saw so much wear that its seat had totally worn off, exposing his briefs.

He also asked fans of his Facebook page, promoting a travel and food TV show he hosts, to guess how old the jeans were.

It turned out that they could date back 14 years, when he wore them in his 1999 movie, Metade Fumaca, reported Apple Daily.

The actor had continued to wear them in public over the years, with pictures showing their gradual fraying at the knees, seat and hems.

He even wore them, full of holes, to perform at a music festival in 2003.

By 2010, when he went on stage at an Eason Chan concert, his underwear could already be seen through the holes.

Fans had fun commenting on his wayward fashion sense.

"Sexy", said one.

Another wanted to borrow the pair to go out begging in the streets.

The wealthy actor, who has businesses including a postproduction company, is certainly not for want of money to afford a new pair of jeans.
