Paris pays $16,000 for teacup puppy

Paris Hilton has a new guy in her life - he is from Calgary and goes by the name of Mr Amazing.

The puppy comes from Betty's Tea Cup Yorkies based in Calgary, Canada.

The hotel heiress, 33, who already owns six dogs and two cats, has added one more to the collection, entertainment website TMZ reported.

For a socialite like Hilton, normal dogs are not enough.

And this is really one-of-a -kind.

The pet, a teacup Pomeranian, costs US$13,000 (S$16,000).

The company claims that it is "the smallest Pomeranian in the world".

Mr Amazing is just about 6cm long and 2cm off the ground.

Weighing less than 1kg, the furry white dog is one of the priciest animals the store has.

Hilton acquired the five-month-old pup from the posh breeder while she was in New York City attending Fashion Week events recently.

Hilton, an animal lover, posted pictures of the latest addition to her family on her Instagram page.

In another photo, she wrote: "I love him! Cutest thing on Earth! Love my new baby!"

Along with the message, she posted a photo of the tiny puppy on its back.

TMZ reported that she is not quite happy with the dog's name and has asked her followers to come up with unique names.

Some responded with names likes Snowball and Puff Dog.

Her followers seem to be waiting with bated breath to see what the new name will be.
