Peppy over pop tunes
Katy Perry

SINGAPORE- I co-host the radio show on Kiss92 - Maddy, Jason and Arnold in the Morning.

And on it, we inject our listeners with aural uppers.

Pop songs. Peppy tunes designed to take your mind off your troubles, to transport you to a happy place filled with fun and/or romance.

Treasure by Bruno Mars. Snap along!

Roar by Katy Perry. Inspiring!

Get Lucky by Daft Punk. So cheeky!

Burn by Ellie Goulding. Let's dance!

Fires by Ronan Keating. Uh, he's so handsome!

It's a real privilege to be able to bring such positive music into people's lives, and we're talking about a lot of people.

During our last ratings survey period, we killed it.

Our numbers just keep going up and up, and in two out of three performance indicators - share and time spent - we flat-out beat the competition.

Our product is potent. Kiss92 has actual addicts (mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha!).

The biggest challenge for me on Kiss92 is simply being as fun as the songs.

From six to 10 every morning, I must be the most lively and dynamic version of myself that I can possibly be.

For my colleague Maddy Barber, this is easy. She's a little firecracker, a spark plug, a pit bull, a chilli padi.

Sometimes I think her brain is going to explode due to a dangerously volatile build-up of vibrancy molecules.

My colleague Arnold Gay is not manic like Maddy, but he's always chill.

Inhumanly chill. It's worrisome.

As for me, I'm a guy who's stuck with a brain that's prone to roaming, like an adventurous yet stupid horse.
