Phyllis Quek makes TV comeback in seductive fashion

Popular actress-turned-tai tai Phyllis Quek is making a comeback - and a steamy one at that.

The 44-year-old star ,who married Australian businessman David Cox in 2012, will soon return to television screens in Channel 8 drama series, Legal Eagles.

According to Toggle, Quek will play a sultry and "unscrupulous middle-aged businesswoman, Fang Hai Lun, who is madly in love with Zhang Zhen Huan's character".

The entertainment site also reported that Quek has many intimate scenes in the show.

Lianhe Wanbao reported that she was in excellent shape when she attended the press conference on Wednesday (Feb 22).

She was quoted by the Chinese daily as saying that her husband gave her his support and told her that he didn't mind that she had kissing scenes. She added that out of respect, she would not have gone ahead with the show if he expressed concern over those scenes.

Quek's last performance was in 2010 movie Kidnapper, and despite the seven-year gap, she has decided to return to television as she really missed acting.

She had also previously worked as a patient relationship manager at an aesthetic laser clinic, but told the media that she was no longer involved with the business as her husband was worried she would be working too hard, and they wanted to travel the world together.

After leaving the business, she has been accompanying her husband on his work trips overseas and has even taken up baking as a hobby. She even attended a pastry class in Paris to hone her skills.

She will be starring alongside Zhang Zhen Huan, Felicia Chin, Raymond Tan and Hong Hui Fang in the new show.
