Pre-registration now open for reality TV show Dance Singapore Dance

SINGAPORE - Pre-registration is now open for Dance Singapore Dance, a reality dance competition by Zee TV, the flagship channel of India's Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd.

The TV show is a localised version of Dance India Dance, which made its debut in 2009.

Since then, the four editions of the show have catapulted winners to fame with many of them gaining film experience and sponsorships after the show.

The show is open to all residents of Singapore aged 16 and above.

Those who are interested can register at Zee TV's website at www.zeetelevisionasia.com/dsd.

Auditions will take place at the Management Development Institute of Singapore's (MDIS) campus in Queenstown on March 14, 2015.

Dance Singapore Dance aims to provide a platform for amateur and experienced dancers to showcase their talent.

Tripta Singh, Senior Vice-President of International Business, Zee TV said, "We are delighted to replicate Zee's highly successful dance show in Singapore, but of course with a local twist.

"As a cosmopolitan city, Singapore has a unique blend of cultures and talent, which we believe will stand out.

"We are launching this now as we wanted to celebrate the amazing talent and diversity in the year of Singapore's jubilee."

After the audition process, 15 participants will be shortlisted by an international panel of judges.

They will then get to train with some of the industry's best choreographers and their performances will be broadcast on Zee TV across 18 countries.

The top three winners of the competition stand to win cash prizes.

Dance Singapore Dance will premiere on Zee TV (StarHub Channel 125), Sensasi (StarHub Channel 123), and Zee Tamizh (StarHub Channel 138) in the second quarter of 2015.
