SINGAPORE - He plays a superhero in the Bollywood film series, Krrish.
But Hrithik Roshan says he feels like he is a superhero in real life as well.
Not least because he had to overcome some serious challenges to finish filming the third movie in this successful franchise.
"I had a slipped disc and my doctor told me that I could not possibly do the movie. Even my dad told me the movie would have to wait.
But I knew I couldn't wait any longer," said Roshan, who then worked hard to get around the problem.
Despite the physical challenge, it didn't hamper his performance.
"When I donned the character's outfit, I felt unstoppable and unbreakable.
"And it's not just me. Anybody can be Krrish. It is just a mental shift. I believe there is a hero in all of us," said the heart-throb.
He is in town this weekend with his film-maker father, Rakesh, to promote Krrish 3 as well as participate in the Singapore International Deepavali Shopping Festival.
"I've become so inspired by my character, Krrish, that I even wear a wristband with his symbol."
The 39-year-old flashed the black band, emblazoned with a silver 'K', at a press conference at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, last Saturday.
The room, with about 20 members of the press, would break into loud applause each time the Bollywood star showed his charm. Krrish 3 will hit theatres on Nov 4.
This instalment will continue the journey of the titular character, now a full-fledged superhero, as he battles new villains.
