SINGAPORE- All hail the newly-crowned Selfie Queen!
With her pretty face and flawless skin, local actress Fann Wong's selfies on her Instagram account (@fannaiaiwong) have always been very popular with her followers, with each garnering, on average, more than 3,000 likes.
The popularity of the 42-year-old's selfies was evident when she defeated her rivals, actor Ian Fang (97 votes) and politician Baey Yam Keng (61 votes), with 255 votes to bag this year's Selfie Queen title.
When she found out about her win, a happy Wong said: "Thanks for the love, voters and TNP! What a great Xmas gift! Will try to post more interesting, beautiful or funny pictures in the future!"
The humble star attributed her victory to her styling team, saying: "Maybe I have the advantage of being made-up by the very top professionals (and) that makes taking selfies a lot easier."
Wong even gamely agreed to snap a selfie just for The New Paper with the Flame Awards trophy - proving just how deserving she is as the picture looked like it was taken from a professional photoshoot.
"Have the lights either (at the) back of you, or right on your face. Practise, practise, practise!!! Find your best angles and just have fun! If anything, always rely on those amazing filters which will do wonders for you. My favourites: Wonder Camera, PhotoWonder and Camera360."
The busy celebrity, who shuttles between Singapore and Taiwan for her acting jobs, is currently taking a break and looking at scripts for projects.
When asked about her New Year resolutions, Wong embraced her newfound status, saying: "Be a great Selfie Queen!"
