K-pop singer and actress Seolhyun, who currently stars in the vampire TV drama "Orange Marmalade," wore both hanbok -- Korea's traditional dress -- and modern outfits on-set in photos released Monday.
Seolhyun's agency released photos of Seolhyun dressed in a pink woman's hanbok, a man's white hanbok, and a Korean military uniform from the Joseon era, as well as tight-fitting modern outfits.
The photos were taken on the set of "Orange Marmalade," which rewound its plot 300 years to Korea's Joseon era for its fifth episode on Friday.
Seolhyun plays a leading role in the drama series, as a vampire pretending to be a normal high school student.
Seolhyun last month also took part in a commercial by SK Telecom, a Korean telecom carrier, which heavily referenced the TV drama.
In the commercial, she enters a Joseon-era tailor shop draped in a pink hanbok cape. The tailor offers her modern fuchsia pink stilettoes. Upon putting it on, Seolhyun throws off her hanbok cape, revealing a modern outfit underneath
The "fusion period drama" ad by SK Telecom was entitled "Let's Be Strange," under the concept that "strange ideas change the world."
"Orange Marmalade" airs every Friday at 10:45 p.m. on channel KBS2.
