TAIPEI - The Shanghai Commercial & Savings Bank (SCSB), on Wednesday held a press conference to reveal that the bank will sponsor a 3D revival concert for late Taiwanese pop diva Teresa Teng on May. 9.
The concert is being organised by the Teresa Teng Foundation and the Teresa Teng Corporation.
Reportedly, American visual effects and digital production company Digital Domain was hired for US$10 million(S$13.5 million) to create a 3D hologram of the renowned singer.
The concert, known as the "If a Wish Could Be Made: Teresa Teng 20 Years Anniversary Memorial Concert in 3D", will also feature singer Fei Yu-ching as a special guest.
To commemorate the 20 years since Teng's untimely passing, the Chunghwa Post announced on yesterday that the company will soon release a set of memorial stamps. The stamps will feature four different pictures of Teng, with face values of NT$5(S$0.22), NT$9, NT$13 and NT$15 each.
The memorial stamps will be officially available on April. 15, the Chunghwa Post said.
