Jung Yong-hwa, an actor and a member of the group CNBlue, celebrated the fifth anniversary of his debut on Oct. 7, 2009.
Jung debuted on the SBS drama "You're Beautiful," playing Kang Shin-woo, a member of the idol group A.N.JELL. Despite the fact that Jung was a rookie actor, he gained immense popularity for his acting skills.
After the drama, Jung released his first album with CNBlue in January 2010. The group's debut EP "Bluetory" gained attention as well, topping music programs with the title song "I'm A Loner" only two weeks after its release.
The group saw further success with the songs "LOVE," "Intuition," "I'm Sorry" and "Can't Stop," proving its quality as one of the top groups in Korea.
Jung is known for writing his own songs for CNBlue's albums. The group's EPs have mainly featured songs written by the singer since the release of "Re:BLUE" in 2013.
He is also continuously developing as an actor. Besides "You're Beautiful," Jung has also acted in dramas including "Heartstrings" and "Marry Him If You Dare."
The actor also recently challenged himself to taking the lead role in the tvN historical drama "Three Musketeers." Jung has received praise from viewers for successfully managing to show action, romance and humour.
