S'pore actor accused of sending lewd pics to Malaysian woman

SINGAPORE - Actor Adi Putra is being investigated for allegedly sending lewd pictures to a Malaysian businessman's wife, who is reportedly a fan of his.

Berita Harian reported that the investigation was launched after the businessman lodged a complaint against the married actor for sending such pictures to his wife via Whatsapp.

The 32-year-old Singapore-born actor is said to have sent these pornographic pictures to the woman, aged 30, eventhough they had only known each other for a week.

It is understood that the businessman found out about the wife's Whatsapp conversations with the actor when he accidentally read one message while dining in a fast food stall in Johor last month.

The 56-year-old businessman is said to have quarrelled with his wife over the issue.

A source revealed that the actor had met the woman through Instagram before they started conversing on Whatsapp on July 29.

The husband discovered their Whatsapp exchanges ten days after, when he saw a photo of the actor in her mobile phone.

Upon closer inspection, he got a shock when he found lewd photos and messages exchanged between the wife and actor.

The source said the businessman immediately made a police report.

The woman and actor had admitted to their Whatsapp exchanges, but both said they only did it for fun and have never met up before.

Their mobile phones have since been confiscated by the police for further analysis.

If convicted, the actor faces up to five years in prison, a fine, or both.
