Stefanie Sun to perform at new National Stadium in July

Singapore's Mandopop queen Stefanie Sun will be coming back to perform in her home country after a five-year hiatus from her last world tour.

The 35-year-old songstress will stage her comeback tour Stefanie Sun 2014 Kepler World Tour at the National Stadium on July 5. This will be the first Mandopop concert to be held at this venue.

The concert tour is Sun's first comeback concert in Singapore since her marriage to her Dutch Indonesian beau in May 2011 and birth of her son in Oct 2012.

The home-grown songbird is involved in all aspects of the new comeback gig: The concert theme, Kepler, is inspired by 17th Century astronomer Johannes Kepler and even the word "Kepler" on the concert poster was designed and written personally by Sun.

Although she has been away from showbiz for some time, the 20,000 tickets to her debut concert on Feb 14 and 15 at Taipei Arena were snapped up in 46 minutes after it went on sale.

Sun belted out new tracks, Boundlessly Large and Angel's Fingerprints, as well as karaoke favourites such as Cloudy Sky, My Desired Happiness, and I'm Not Sad.

She also surprised fans on the second night at Taipei Arena with a duet performance of Moonlight In The City with fellow Singaporean singer Mavis Hee.

Among the audience at her Taipei concert included Mandopop divas like A-Mei, Jolin Tsai, and S.H.E members Selina Jen and Hebe Tian.

Sun will be performing in other cities, including Shanghai, Guangzhou, Beijing, Tianjin, Hong Kong and Malasia.

Tickets to Stefanie Sun 2014 Kepler World Tour are priced between $98 and $208, and will be available from April 8 at Sports Hub Tix. Visit www.sportshubtix.sg
