Taiwan's largest Mandopop stars shine at Spring Wave Singapore 2014

SINGAPORE - Music lovers enjoyed a day of great music, spread over six 'live' sessions by Taiwan's top Mandopop stars A-mei, Jam Hsiao, Della Ding Dang, Yao Yao and Bii at the Spring Wave music festival last Saturday (June 7) at The Meadow - Gardens by the Bay.

Diva A-mei, who seldom partook in music festivals, made a rare appearance at the festival and gave an electrifying performance alongside fellow Taiwan aboriginal artistes from the group Boxing. A-listers Jam Hsiao, Della Ding Dang, Yao Yao and Bii also belted out their hottest hits and performed Mandopop classics.

The annual outdoor music festival, which showcased Taiwanese music talents, was organised by Friendly Dog Entertainment Co. Ltd. and presented by Tiger Beer.

Mr Rene de Monchy, Head of Marketing, Asia Pacific Breweries Singapore said, "Back by popular demand, Spring Wave Singapore 2014, the nation's only Chinese outdoor music festival is proudly sponsored by Tiger. Boasting a stellar line-up of performances, the festival offers fans an immersive sensory experience with great music and, in true Singapore-fashion, delicious food and refreshing Tiger Beer, amidst panoramic views of our iconic cityscape at Gardens by the Bay."

All performing artistes also donated their prized personal possessions to a charity auction in support of Spring Wave Singapore's annual social responsibility initiatives. Proceeds were donated to charities for underprivileged children, namely Singapore's Student Advisory Centre and Hong Kong's Little Yellow Flower Education Foundation.
