Touching speech from veteran TVB actor Roger Kwok

Clutching his trophy, the 50-year-old doting father of two told the audience that it was a pity his wife and kids couldn't attend the awards ceremony "as it was a school day (the next day)".

He has a six-year-old son, Brad and a three-year-old daughter, Blair.

"So, I decided to get my children's faces and names printed on my suit," he said.

Kwok beat his competition by playing a wheelchair-bound lawyer in the drama Black Heart White Soul, which is now showing on VV Drama On Demand (StarHub TV Channel 857).

WIFE AND KIDS

"This suit is my wedding suit. I wore it when I got married. It's like I have my wife and kids with me here right now."

With a grin, the three-time Best Actor winner, who was also victorious in 2002 and 2005, recalled something Brad had said before he left the house.

"My son shouted jokingly at me, 'Don't come home until you win an award!'

"I paused for a second. Then I told my son, 'Actually, I've already won the best awards in my life. I won them when you and your little sister came into my world.'"

Altogether now, awww...
