SINGAPORE - Despite the hype and the intense anticipation, Triumph In The Skies II did not score a landslide victory in Singapore.

The 40-part airline-themed blockbuster, which ended its run in Hong Kong earlier this month, was a ratings success.

And yet it managed to snag only the My Favourite TVB Drama accolade at the StarHub TVB Awards 2013 last night. Main leads Julian Cheung and Myolie Wu also did not win the coveted acting honours.

The My Favourite TVB Actress award went to Tavia Yeung for her performance in the period drama Silver Spoon, Sterling Shackles, and the My Favourite TVB Actor award to Bosco Wong for psychological thriller A Change of Heart.

Yeung played a Peking opera singer who becomes the fourth wife of a wealthy businessman, while Wong took on the roles of identical twins with contrasting personalities.

Both were clearly elated with their awards.

Yeung, 34, said: "I want to thank the producer of Silver Spoon, Sterling Shackles.

"He created a role for me that was so lauded, all the way from last year to this year."
