SINGAPORE - Taiwanese-American pop idol Van Ness Wu will join Indonesian singer Anggun, former Spice Girl Melanie "Mel C" Chisholm and Canadian musician David Foster at the panel of judges for AXN's Asia's Got Talent.
The show is a regional version of the Got Talent franchise, which is co-owned by Simon Cowell's Syco Entertainment and FremantleMedia, and will premiere across Asian television screens in March.
Hui Keng Ang, senior vice-President and general manager of Sony Pictures Television Networks (Asia) said in a statement: "We have put together a superb panel of judges for 'Asia's Got Talent'. This is definitely our most ambitious original series to date and is very much in line with the type of smart, high-quality local programming that audiences have come to expect from AXN."
The four judges will decide who among the thousands of participants will advance to the semi-finals.
The semi-finals and finale will be held at Marina Bay Sands. The winner will be determined by votes from the audience and will be awarded a contract to return and perform in Singapore.
