Venice wedding for Clooney

London - George Clooney will marry his fiance, British lawyer Amal Alamuddin, in Venice soon, the Hollywood star revealed.

Clooney, 53, and his 36-year-old bride-to- be made their first public appearance as a couple on Sunday in Florence, Italy, at the Celebrity Fight Night which supports the Andrea Bocelli Foundation.

"I met my lovely bride-to-be here in Italy, whom I will be marrying, in a couple of weeks in Venice, of all places," revealed the actor in a speech, said the Daily Mail.

E! Online quoted a source at the gala as saying: "He also said to Amal from the podium, 'I love you very much.'"

There has been speculation that they will wed in Italy where Clooney owns a home on Lake Como.
