A number of Korean musicians are preparing to make a comeback soon to give a fresh momentum to the K-pop scene.
For JYP Entertainment, 2AM will come back on Thursday with their title song, "Over the Destiny" of their "Let's Talk" album. The group's third album is to be unveiled one year after their previous album was released.
2AM members have so far worked separately. Changmin has been active in duo group Homme, Jo Kwon has worked in musical scene, and Seulong and Jinwoon have appeared in TV dramas.
The male ballad group will make their first comeback appearance on the stage of KBS2 "Music Bank" Friday.
2AM will be followed by a new single under SM Entertainment banner, scheduled to debut on Nov. 3. The agency's third solo artist of this year is Super Junior-M's Zhou Mi. The singer will release his mini first album, "Rewind" on Friday in Korea and China at the same time.
"Rewind" is an R&B song that features retro soul and pop genre. The song talks about the wishes to go back to the time before the breakup.
In particular, as Zhou Mi is eyeing both Korean and Chinese markets, the song will be offered in two versions. EXO-K's Chanyeol does the rapping part in the Korean version and EXO-M's Tao does the rapping part in the Chinese version.
The singer's first album will be released in offline stores Nov. 3.
As one of the three major labels of Korea, YG Entertainment also announced its artist's comeback but it has not specified who the artist is. The agency released a teaser image without a warning, announcing an artist's comeback on YG's official home page on Monday. In the image, there is a line saying, "WHO'S NEXT." Also, the specific date of the comeback was written on the image as "2014.11.11."
After the teaser was revealed, Show biz watchers expected Psy or Big Bang to be YG's next comeback artist.
The world star Psy had announced that he will drop the forthcoming EP "Daddy" sometime in August but there has been no sign of it, until now. The singer released "Hangover" with Snoop Dogg in June.
Also, YG's boy group Big Bang recently said that their comeback is imminent, making their fans look forward to it.
Many other singers including MC. Mong, Guckkasten, Hello Venus, KARA's ex-member Nicole and Im Chang-jung will make their comeback as well in November.
MC Mong is to drop his new album "MISS ME OR DISS ME" on Nov. 3. The singer has stayed low since he was charged with draft dodging in 2010. According to MC Mong's agency, the singer will not appear on public TV programme.
Ex-KARA member Nicole will make her solo debut in November with the cooperation of music producing team, Sweetune. The singer left the group as soon as her contract expired in January this year. Recently, she took a temporary break from the music scene.
