Woman's red sports bra wins her Taylor Swift goodie bag
Madam Maisie Yeo won a goodie bag at the Taylor Swift Day hosted by 987FM.

Her bra saved the day yesterday afternoon.

Yes, Madam Maisie Yeo needed a red clothing item to win a Taylor Swift goodie bag and the only thing that fit the bill was her sports bra.

The 42-year-old housewife had walked past the Bugis Square at Bugis Junction while shopping with a friend when 987 FM DJs Joakim Gomez and Sonia Chew called for a Taylor Swift fan clad in red to win a goodie bag.

The hosts had jokingly asked for any bold troopers wearing red underwear.

Madam Yeo's friend immediately started pointing enthusiastically at her, drawing attention to Madam Yeo, who was then picked to go on stage.

The mother of two daughters, Natalie, 14, and Fernanda, 11, knew it would make her elder daughter happy if she bagged a Taylor Swift prize at the Taylor Swift Day fan event organised by Universal Music Singapore.

But first she needed to answer a question. What is Taylor Swift's favourite TV show? Madam Yeo got on her mobile phone and called Natalie for help.

Her young Swiftie told her that the answer was "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation".

Madam Yeo walked away with a bag containing a Taylor Swift T-shirt, an iPad cover and a sound amplifier.

When asked if she was embarrassed that her bra won her the prize, Madam Yeo said: "I didn't think anything of it, I just wanted to join in because the atmosphere was fun and my daughters are Swift fans."

Natalie had told Madam Yeo of Taylor Swift Day, an event hosted by 987FM DJs for fans to mingle and win goodie bags, concert tickets and meet-and-greet passes.

Although Madam Yeo had no intention of going, she stopped by just to have a look since she was in the area.

The event, which was attended by some 300 fans, took place ahead of Swift's shows here tomorrow and on Thursday at the Singapore Indoor Stadium as part of her Red tour.

Madam Yeo and her daughters will be going to the sold-out Thursday show. She bought Category 1 tickets worth $288 for them.
