SINGAPORE - 100 suspected drug offenders were nabbed in the Central Narcotics Bureau's (CNB) three-day crackdown that took place from Nov 25-28, 2014.

About 108g of heroin, 4g of 'Ice' and an assortment of tables including 'Ecstasy' and Eramin-5 tables, worth more than $10,000, were seized.

Officers conducted checks in Ang Mo Kio, Bukit Batok, Choa Chu Kang, Geylang, Hougang, Kallang and Woodlands.

In one of the operations on Nov 26 at Hougang Ave 1, a suspected drug trafficker was spotted loitering at the 8th floor of the block of flats. When the 46-year-old male went to the 6th floor, CNB officers followed him and made arrest. A small packet of heroin and a bunch of keys to the man's suspected hideout were seized.

From the man's 8th floor unit, CNB officers recovered a total of about 48g of heroin, a small amount of 'Ice', and 22 capsules suspected to contain diphenoxylate. Diphenoxylate is a Class A controlled drug in the Misuse of Drugs Act. A 41-year-old female suspected drug trafficker was also arrested in the apartment unit.

Both of the suspects, who are believed to be Singaporeans, are being investigated for drug trafficking.

The other suspects arrested during the operation are also being investigated, said CNB in a statement on Friday (Nov 28).
