1,000 fans queue up for Transformers movie merchandise

SINGAPORE - Around 1,000 people lined up at the Toys'R'Us store at Forum The Shopping Mall for the Transformers Toy Madness @ 2200 event on Friday.

The Transformers fans were the first in Singapore to take home Transformers: Age of Extinction movie merchandise.

They arrived as early as eight hours before the launch to take part in games organised by Hasbro Singapore.

In a game called 'The Lion City Roars for Grimlock', a million decibels in roars was recorded at the event. Grimlock is a Dinobot leader which will be be featured for the first time in the Transformers: Age of Extinction movie.

Fans also raced against each other to see who could convert Transformers figurines the fastest. The record time was clocked at 27 seconds.

Local actors from the Ah Boys To Men movie also turned up for the event.
