100kg war bomb found and detonated in Seletar

SINGAPORE - A bomb was successfully detonated at a Seletar construction site at around noon on Tuesday. The 1.2mlong war relic was "armed and more than 60 years old", said the Singapore Armed Forces.

It was found around midnight on Monday.

Several offices in the nearby Seletar Aerospace Park were evacuated as operations to detonate the armed bomb were underway.

Several relics have been found and detonated this year, with the most recent one discovered at a construction site in Jurong last month.
