MALACCA - An 11-year-old boy said he wished to "settle" differences with a younger boy over some skirmish but ended up sodomising him instead.
An education-based non-governmental-organisation here raised its concern about the sexual assault in October last year.
The Malacca Action Group for Parents in Education (Magpie) chairman Mak Chee Kin said the older boy could have been watching "unsavoury material" online.
The 10-year-old victim had complained of excruciating pain in his anus since the incident. Only recently did the mother find out that her son had been sodomised.
The 46-year-old woman lodged a report with the Bukit Baru police station here at noon yesterday.
The perpetrator, who is now 12, had lured the younger boy to his family's apartment unit when his parents were away.
It is learnt that he told the victim that he wanted to settle a skirmish that had occurred in school, where both the boys studied.
The older boy then dragged the victim to the bathroom and sodomised him.
Mak said the case was referred to him by concerned parents who wanted the victim to be sent for psychiatric evaluation to cope with the trauma that he had undergone.
