14-year old arrested with two men for heroin and syabu

SABAK BERNAM - In the district police's Op Cantas Khas initiative held Sunday, a 14-year old student was detained with his uncle and cousin in Kampung Penerangan, Sekinchan when they were found with heroin and syabu.

In the 3am raid by the district police narcotics division's seven-men team, 45g of heroin and 0.8g of syabu worth RM1,200 were seized.

District police chief Superintendent Noor Mushar Muhammad said the drugs were found in two separate baskets placed in the kitchen and one of the three rooms in the house.

"The illegal substances were already packed and ready for distribution as they were found in 14 small transparent plastic packets.

"We believe we have crippled the petty drug-pushing clique which had been active within the vicinity of Bagan Sekinchan here," Mushar said, adding that the 48-year-old fisherman was the mastermind, while his 18-year-old unemployed son and his 14-year-old nephew were the dispatchers or 'runners'.

The case is investigated under Section 12(2), Section 39A and Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
