SINGAPORE - Two light anti-tank dummy weapons were found near a transformer box off the junction of Sungei Tengah and Old Choa Chu Kang Road on Thursday, triggering an investigation by the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).

According to a statement by the Singapore Army on its Facebook page, the startling find was made by a member of the public.

Photos on Hardware Zone forum showed two MATADORs (Man-portable Anti-Tank, Anti-DOoR), which is a disposable anti-armor weapon system used against armoured personnel carriers and light tanks.

The SAF stressed that the weapons found are meant only for training purposes.

"The SAF takes a serious view of this incident and investigations are currently underway," the Singapore Army said.
