2 arrested for allegedly robbing and stabbing masseuse at Clementi

SINGAPORE - Police have arrested a 29-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman for their suspected involvement in a case of armed robbery with hurt.

The incident occurred at Blk 426 Clementi Ave 3 last Thursday (Jan 22).

The victim, 33-year-old massage therapist known only as Jessie, reported the incident to the police.

She said she was stabbed while being robbed of her handbag and wallet containing $300 by an unknown man.

According to a previous report, the robber had allegedly stabbed her three times before running away with her handbag. Jessie suffered stab wounds to her waist, lungs and liver.

Police arrested the two suspects at Geylang on Friday. The stolen handbag and wallet were recovered and seized as case exhibits.

The suspects will be charged in court on Saturday for armed robbery with hurt. If found guilty, they face jail of up to 20 years and caning of up to 12 strokes.
