2 cats found dead in Yishun, 1 with throat slit

Two cats were found dead in Yishun today (Feb 9), with both having mutilated carcasses.

In the first incident, a feline that had its throat slit was found on a road divider near Yishun MRT Station, according to a post on the Singapore Community Cats Facebook page by user Fadillah AR.

The post was accompanied by a picture of the dead black and white-coloured cat.

In the second case, a dead cat was found behind Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, though it is unclear how it died.

Gruesome photos posted on Facebook by community page Yishun 326 Tabby Cat show the animal's carcass, with its white fur matted with blood.

The community group said that officials from the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) was on the scene, and also urged residents to keep a lookout for suspicious persons in the neirghbourhood.
