2 killed, 2 injured as M'sian man runs amok

A delivery boy ran amok in Kuala Lumpur, on Thursday, killing two people and injuring two others.

The incident occurred at 11.20am when the suspect, 26, was supposed to deliver cigarettes to a sundry shop at a train terminal.

Deputy CID chief Assistant Commissioner Khairi Ahrasa said the suspect stabbed the shop owner, 60, and her female helper, 40.

He then escaped in a white van but collided with another van outside the next train station.

When the van's driver came out, the man stabbed him thrice, killing him. The suspect, whom police believe is mentally unstable, then drove another kilometre before colliding into a Toyota Prius driven by a teenager. He also stabbed the driver thrice, killing him.

Some onlookers overpowered the man and alerted the police.
