SINGAPORE - Police have arrested two men, aged 22 and 23 years, for their suspected involvement in damaging the windscreen of a private bus along Connaught Drive.
On Aug 21, at 1.27am, officers from Central Police Division responded to a call requesting for assistance along Connaught Drive, said a police statement.
Upon arrival, it was established that the windscreen of a private bus had been smashed.
A drainage cover believed to be used to smash the windscreen was found beside the bus.
Officers spotted the two suspects and apprehended them along the vicinity of St Andrews Road.
During the officers engagement with the men, the 23-year-old uttered vulgarities towards the officers.
Anyone who commits mischief that causes loss or damage to the amount of $500 or upwards shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both.
For the offence of Using Abusive Language against a Police officer, the person shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year.
