SINGAPORE - Police have arrested two men, aged 31 and 37, for suspected theft from donation box at a place of worship along Arumugam Road.
They observed the two suspects after receiving a tip-off on Nov 28.
Both men entered the place on the pretext of praying, but they loitered around a donation box and one started fishing out money from the box, while the other kept a lookout.
Checks revealed the men carried 2 customised files which contained 24 metallic plates pasted with double-sided adhesive tapes, 2 torch lights, a measuring tape and a piece of note with a list of addresses of religious buildings written on it in their bags.
A total of $103 was also found in the bags.
All items were seized as case exhibits.
The men will be charged in court on Nov 30.
