IPOH - One of the two teenagers accused of murdering a police sargeant's wife ended up in tears after they were charged in court.
The 17-year-old boy had tears in his eyes when he and the other accused - A. Nagarujun, 19, - were led out of the courtroom after the proceedings yesterday.
Earlier, both teenagers hung their heads as the charge was read to them by a court interpreter at a magistrate court here.
They merely nodded after the charge, under Section 302 of the Penal Code, was read out.
The boys were not represented by lawyers.
No plea was recorded.
According to the charge sheet, they were accused of killing housewife Izaah Abdullah, 52, at a house at Laluan Tanjong 4, Taman Tanjung Emas, Tanjung Rambutan, on Feb 11 between 12.30am and 2am.
Magistrate Nurul Asyifa Redzuan set April 22 for mention as the post-mortem report on Izaah has yet to be completed.
Family members of the two accused hugged and kissed them before they were taken to the court's lock-up room.
It was reported last week that four teenagers had been arrested, believed to be in connection with the Izaah's murder.
They were picked up from several areas in Bercham and Tanjung Rambutan on Feb 11.
It is learnt that the two other teenagers had been released and they would become witnesses.
Deputy Public Prosecutor was Geetha Jora Singh.
