20 minute delay on SMRT line from Outram towards Kallang

SINGAPORE -Commuters travelling from Outram to Kallang towards would have experienced some delay in their travels on Saturday afternoon.
SMRT posted on its Twitter page that there was a rail defect along its East-West line. A estimated 20-minute delay was expected, but services have now resumed as per normal.
A media statement from SMRT said the defective rail will be replaced after its operating hours
