SINGAPORE - A 29-year-old woman has died after being run over by a bus at the junction of Toh Tuck Link and Toh Tuck Avenue on Thursday (Mar 11).

According to Lianhe Wanbao, Indonesian-Chinese Winny Pratiwi was on her lunch break when the accident occurred.

The Singapore PR was crossing the road by herself at about 12:30pm when a right-turning bus knocked her down.

After that, the bus continued to travel for about five to six metres before stopping.

The driver of the service 183 bus was arrested after being questioned by the police.

Paramedics declared Ms Pratiwi dead on the scene.

The Chinese Daily reported that Ms Pratiwi, an executive at a publishing firm, had done exceptionally well when she was a university student, appearing on the Dean's List at her American University a total of five times.

Her employer told Lianhe Wanbao that Ms Pratiwi had been working at the firm for three years, and was a very efficient and hard working employee.
