2kg of cannabis and other drugs worth over $64k seized in CNB raids

A total of nearly 2kg of cannabis and other drugs were seized and three suspected drug traffickers nabbed in two separate raids on Tuesday (March 15).

The drugs seized in both raids were estimated to be worth more than $64,000.

The raids were led by the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) and supported by the Singapore Police Force, said a CNB statement on Wednesday (March 16).

In the first raid, conducted in Kallang, two suspected drug traffickers - Singaporean men aged 41 and 42 - were arrested within a unit.

A search of the premises recovered about 940g of cannabis and small amounts of 'Ice' and heroin.

The second raid was conducted in Woodlands on the same day and led to the arrest of a 29-year-old Singaporean drug trafficking suspect within a unit.

A search recovered about 1kg of cannabis and an assortment of other drugs.

Investigations into the drug activities of the suspects are ongoing. Those convicted of trafficking in more than 500g of cannabis may face the death penalty.
