3 men charged with cannabis consumption: They also had drug utensils

Three men in their 20s were yesterday charged with possession and consumption of cannabis.

Dexter Foo Shou Han, 23, Trevor Soh Li Wen, 24, and Wong Zixiong, 24, were charged separately. Foo and Soh were hit with four charges each, while Wong faced three charges.

Foo's charges include consuming cannabis on or before May 29 and possessing the drug in his home. He was also charged with having an improvised glass smoking apparatus and a metal grinder.

Soh is accused of consuming cannabis outside Singapore on or before May 26, having the drug and an improvised glass smoking apparatus and a plastic grinder in his home.

Wong is accused of consuming cannabis in Singapore on or before May 29, possessing the drug and having a pack of rolling paper in his home.

Friends

The New Paper understands that two of the men are undergraduates at a local university. The three are believed to be friends.

Their next court appearance is on Aug 18. They have been released on $15,000 bail each.

If convicted of possessing or consuming cannabis, they face up to 10 years' jail, a fine of up to $20,000, or both.

For possessing utensils intended for drug consumption, they face up to three years' jail, a fine of up to $5,000, or both.
