3 Singaporeans arrested for drug crimes

SINGAPORE - Three alleged drug offenders have been arrested together with the discovery of drugs worth over $40,000.

The Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) arrested three Singaporean men and seized about 256g of Ice and 50 Ecstasy tablets during the operation.

CNB officers had stopped two men, age 25 and 23, who were traveling on a Singapore-registered motorcycle when they arrived at the Woodlands Checkpoint. About 256g of methamphetamine ("Ice") and 50 Ecstasy pills that were found hidden in the 25-year-old's laptop.

A follow-up operation was conducted and a 33-year-old male Singaporean was arrested near a petrol kiosk in Woodlands. The 33-year-old is believed to be a drug client.
