4 new members appointed to board of Singapore Land Authority

SINGAPORE - Four new members have been appointed by Law and Foreign Affairs Minister K. Shanmugam to the Board of the Singapore Land Authority (SLA).

Mr Tan Boon Khai, Chief Executive of SLA, has been appointed for a term of three years commencing on May 1, according to a statement issued by the authority.

The three other new members who will be appointed for a term of two years commencing on Aug 1 include Mr Philip Yuen, Chief Executive Officer of Deloitte Singapore, Mr Mok Wei Wei, Managing Director of W Architects and Dr Chong Yoke Sin, Chief Executive Officer of Integrated Health Information Systems.

In addition, three new board members have been reappointed for a term of two years starting on Aug 1.

They are Mr Tham Kui Seng, Non-Executive Director of Straits Trading Company Ltd, Mr Walter Fernandez, Editor-in-Chief of MediaCorp and Managing Director of MediaCorp Press and Mr Lai Huen Poh, Managing Director of RSP Architects Planners & Engineers Pte Ltd.

For outgoing members, Mr Vincent Hoong, former Chief Executive of SLA, ended his office term on Mar 31.

Five other members of the board will also complete their current terms of office on Jul 31.

They are Mr Steven Phan, Area Managing Partner of Asia-Pacific, Ernst & Young, Mr Chai Chin Loon, Director (Security Technology, Advisory & Projects) of Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore, Mrs Elaine Lim, Director of Stamford Corporate Services Pte Ltd, Mr Wong Mun Summ, Founding Director of WOHA Architects Pte Ltd and Ms Yeo Lian Sim, Special Adviser of Singapore Exchange Limited.
