4 teenagers arrested for robbery
A reckless motorist who caused the death of a man whose child was merely 45 days old paid the price when a magistrate's court sentenced him to six years in jail.

SINGAPORE - Police have arrested four males, aged between 16 and 19 years old, for alleged robbery at Woodlands Circle.

On 8 Sep 2013, a 41-year-old man was assaulted by three men who then fled with his wallet and mobile phone.

Officers from Jurong Police Division managed to establish the identities of the suspects and arrested one of the suspects in the vicinity of Marsiling MRT on October 4. The other three suspects were arrested later on the same day.

Three of the suspects will be charged on October 5. Investigation against the remaining suspect is still ongoing.

Commander of Jurong Police Division, Deputy Assistant Commissioner of Police Wilson Lim, commended his officers for their good team work.

He advised members of the public to adopt the following measures if confronted:

• Remain calm and take note of the description of the perpetrator, e.g. his appearance, clothing, height and other physical details;

• Note the direction and the perpetrator's mode of escape

• Call '999' as soon as possible.
