4 women arrested for housebreaking and theft

SINGAPORE - Four women aged between 22 and 31 years old have been arrested in relation to a series of housebreaking and theft cases reported around Dempsey Road and Tras Street.

Police received reports of restaurants and offices being broken into in October. In some of the cases, CCTV within the premises captured images of the culprits.

Two of the suspects were arrested along Queensway on October 23, 2014. The two remaining suspects were arrested later on the same day.

All four suspects will be charged in court on October 25. If convicted, they may be jailed for up to 14 years.
