54-year-old woman murdered at Tampines flat, 80-year-old man arrested

SINGAPORE - An 80-year-old man has been arrested by the police in connection with the death of a 54-year-old woman at Blk 440 Tampines Steet 43.
A police spokesperson told AsiaOne that they were alerted to the scene at 10:04am.
The 54-year-old woman was found lying motionless. She was pronounced dead by paramedics at 10:18am.
According to a report by the Straits Times, the 80-year-old man is believed to be the victim's father-in-law.
The report also said that a woman's screams were heard by neighbours at about 9am.
The police have classified this case as murder and investigations are ongoing.
