68-year-old man arrested for outrage of modesty of woman on bus
Structural engineer, Bian Yang, 32, who beat a red light and ploughed into a motorcyclist killing him and injuring his pillion rider was jailed for 41/2 months on Friday.

SINGAPORE - Police have arrested a 68 year-old man for suspected outrage the modesty of a 42-year-old female commuter while on a bus.

On Oct 1 at about 8 am, the woman, who was onboard a bus travelling along Kampong Bahru Road, claimed she felt someone touching her bottom. Shocked,  she immediately grabbed the person's hand, and realised the person who touched her was an elderly man.

Following that, she alerted the bus captain who then reported the matter to the police.

The suspect was arrested by police who responded to the call. Investigations against him are ongoing.

If found guilty, the suspect may be jailed up to 2 years, or fined, or be caned.
