SINGAPORE - The Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) and the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) arrested a South African woman who was found with 7.1kg of 'Ice' at the Changi Airport on Friday.

This is the largest single 'Ice' seizure for 2013.

At about 8.30pm yesterday, CNB officers, assisted by ICA officers, X-rayed the woman's luggage at the arrival hall of Changi Airport Terminal 3 and noticed anomalies.

Two wrapped bundles, believed to be 'Ice', were found in a small bag in the woman's luggage. This has a street value of about $1.4 million.

The woman was arrested immediately.

Investigations are ongoing.

If convicted, she may face the death penalty.
