73 nabbed in Sabah under ops

KOTA KINABALU - Sabah police have nabbed 73 people for various offences in the ongoing Ops Cantas, said state Police Commissioner Datuk Hamza Taib.

According to him, police also seized eight weapons during the crackdown that began on Aug 17 throughout the state.

"We carried out 251 raids that saw about 800 people being checked for suspicious activities," said Hamza, who added that Ops Cantas was targeted at those believed to be involved in various criminal activities, inclu­ding theft and illegal money lending.
