85 arrested for vice, drug and immigration offences

SINGAPORE - A two-day multi-agency joint enforcement operation saw 85 people arrested for various offences.

From June 26 to 27, checks were conducted on 1,340 people and 164 vehicles at the Land Checkpoints as well as multiple locations in the western part of Singapore.

85 suspects were arrested for various offences such as drink driving; voluntarily allowing their bank accounts to be utilised by unlicensed moneylenders; suspected involvement in vice activities; drug-related offences; and immigration offences.

Drug-related paraphernalia and approximately 44 grams of heroin were also seized in this operation.

The operation was led by Jurong Police Division and supported by the Traffic Police (TP), Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB), Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).

Investigations against all the suspects are ongoing.
