KANGAR - Perlis police arrested nine suspects and seized drugs worth over RM30,000 (S$10,000) in four separate cases.

The assortment of drugs comprising heroin, methamphetamine, Eramin 5 pills and others were found following the arrest of the suspects, including a woman, all aged between 18 and 32 years old.

Kangar OCPD Supt Abd Rahman Mohd Noordin said the suspects were arrested in Kangar and Simpang Empat on Wednesday and Thursday.

They are being investigated under the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.

Separately, Perlis police chief SAC Shafie Ismail said three armed robbery cases in Perlis and Kedah had been solved with the arrest of two men in Kodiang, Kedah, on Sept 29.

He said the suspects aged 21 and 26 were believed to have been involved in a house break-in in Kampung Changkut Kabu, Jelempuk, here on Sept 24 and two other cases in Kedah.

"Investigation showed that they would commit the crime in early morning using a samurai sword and a machete.

"Both of them tested positive for drugs and have previous criminal records," he said yesterday.
