SINGAPORE - The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) will commence rehearsals for National Day Parade 2015 from Wednesday.
They will be putting up an aerial display and conducting rehearsals across the island on the following date and times:
Wednesday, May 27: 10.30am - 12.30pm
Tuesdays, June 2, 9 and 16: 10.30am - 12.30pm
Saturdays, June 20, 27 and July 4, 11, 18 and 25: 5pm - 7.15pm
RSAF will also be conducting live firing exercises around Pulau Sudong, Pulau Pawai and Pulau Senang daily from today to Friday from 7am to 11pm, and on Saturday from 8am to 1pm.
Flares will be released during the night firing.
The public is advised not to be alarmed and to keep clear of the abovementioned islands, which lie within the live firing areas.
SAF military exercises
From 8am today to 8am on May 18, the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) will be conducting military exercises at the following areas: Seletar, Marsiling, Jalan Bahar, Neo Tiew, Lim Chu Kang, Jalan Kwok Min, Tuas, Upper Jurong, Hong Kah, Ama Keng, Bedok Jetty, Kranji, Lentor, Simpang, Sembawang and Mandai.
Blanks and thunderflashes will be used.
Live firing exercises will also be conducted in Pasir Laba (SAFTI) Live Firing Area from 8am today till 8am on May 18.
Live ammunition and flares will be used.
Sea vessels and crafts sailing through the Western Johor Straits during this period are to keep within the 75m Navigable Sea Lane and not to stray into the live firing boundary.
The public is also advised to stay clear of prohibited waters off Changi Naval Base and Tuas Naval Base.
