AMK police officers reject bribery attempt

SINGAPORE - A woman has been arrested for attempting to bribe three police officers during an anti-vice raid.

Officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division swooped in on a residential unit in the vicinity of Wellington Circle, in Sembawang, on Wednesday night.

They found five men and three women in the unit, said the police in a statement yesterday.

The women were believed to have offered sexual services to the men and were arrested. While two of the officers were interviewing one of the women, a 26-year-old, about cash amounting to $2,349 found in her possession, she offered all the money to the officers to let her go.

They rejected the offer. The suspect asked to speak to a female officer and made the same offer to her. The officer also refused.
