Amorous thieves caught on camera kissing to celebrate theft

Two thieves from southwest China robbed a store, and then had a make-out session at the scene of the crime instead of fleeing immediately.

According to CCTVNews via Huaxi Metropolises, surveillance footage from the robbed store shows the two thieves kissing at the scene of the crime for five minutes to celebrate their victory.

The couple robbed an accessory store in Zigong, Sichuan Province last Tuesday (Jan 20).

The shop manager, Madam Gong said the burglars only took 2,100 yuan (S$455) in cash, together with some perfume and jewelry on the shelves.

Madam Gong told a newspaper: "They did not seem like professionals, as they didn't target valuable stuff."

The manager suspects that the burglars had a key as the lock was broken.

A staff worker said another shop in the commercial street that used the same lock was burgled as well, with the lock in perfect condition.

The surveillance camera captured 20 minutes of footage of the burglars at the store.

The video footage also showed some young people waiting outside to keep watch while the apparently teenage ‪‎thieves‬ "worked" inside.

The case is now under investigation.
