A trader who used his crafts shop as a front for his exotic animal parts business has been caught by the authorities in Kuching.

Berita Harian reported that enforcement officers found animal parts such as bear paws, crocodile genitals, teeth and peacock feathers, during a raid on Saturday by the Sarawak Forestry Department.

Even a human skull was found but there was no information on how the trader obtained it.

The shop enjoyed good business from customers who bought animal genital parts, believing that they could enhance sexual prowess, a source told the daily.

He said the 50-year-old trader had been selling the animal organs since early this year.

Investigations were ongoing on how he obtained the parts.
